Travel to Nepal

Information for Indian Citizens willing to travel to Nepal

Travel can be made on the basis of the following document:

  1. Passport, or
  2. Driving license with photograph, or
  3. Identity card with photograph issued by a governmental body, or
  4. Ration card with photograph, or
  5. Voter identity card with photograph, or
  6. Registration certificate issued by the Indian embassy to the Indian citizen staying in Nepal, or
  7. Ad hoc/temporary identity card issued by the Indian embassy to the Indian citizen in the event of exigency, or
  8. Document with photograph and setting out identity, issued by the sub-divisional magistrate or authority there above.
