As the Government of Nepal has started issuing Machine Readable Passport (MRP), the passports are being prepared and issued by the Department of Passports, Narayanhiti, Nepal. However, applications for Nepalese passports can be submitted to, and ready passports collected from, the Embassy or Passport General.
